Born and raised in a small town in Iowa, starting at a young age, fitness was a big part of my life. I was involved in many activities such as martial arts, basketball, and other kid sports. After graduating high school in 2007 I continued my love for sports and played football at Wartburg College.
Once I was done with football I changed my passion from being a strong explosive athlete to an endurance athlete. After a couple years of triathlons a friend told me about CrossFit and my life has never been the same. To me CrossFit was the best of both worlds, I could lift weights, and feel strong while keeping up my endurance.
Currently I am married to my beautiful wife Sarah Baxter and we have two amazing kids Gracie and Malakai.

I grew up here as an Omaha native, attended Millard South High School, and finished my business degree at Bellevue University. I am a follower of Christ, husband, dad, movement coach, CrossFit Trainer, and football coach…it’s a full-time gig but I love it!
During and after college I spent 10 years perfecting an UNHEALTHY lifestyle (I ate like a king and drank like a fish). UNFORTUNATELY it started to take it’s toll on all aspects of my life. I was very overweight, had anxiety attacks, couldn’t walk to the mailbox without being winded…I was sick. In 2009 my first son was born and I realized that I needed to make some changes in my life!
Soon after that I found CrossFit through my best friend Kyle. He tortured me for months, but I fell in love with the training and the feeling of being an athlete again. CrossFit was a huge CATALYST for life changes that I’ve made and it’s because of this that I chose to change my career and spend my days with amazing people doing awesome shit!
My mission as a coach at CrossFit Elkhorn is that I help kids become better athletes, help adults find their inner athlete and give the people of Omaha/Elkhorn a new community for friends, accountability, and education on fitness and health. To be the best coach possible, I promise to always continue to learn from each athlete that I work with to make the experience in our gym something that they can’t get somewhere else!

He has been a CrossFit coach for over 4 years, holding positions at CrossFit Elkhorn as the Competitors Coach/Programmer and Weightlifting Coach/Programmer.
Being in the Marines has taught him valuable lessons in Mental Toughness, Discipline and Work Ethic for both fitness and daily lifestyle, with CrossFit Elkhorn expanding his potential to become a better Coach.

I grew up in Northeast Iowa and was involved in a variety of sports activities as a kid. After graduating high school, I attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa where I met Trevor, my husband.
We had strength and conditioning class in college, where I discovered I was unable to clean a 45# barbell. At the time, Half Marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks were my jam…then Trevor encouraged me to try CrossFit. I have to admit I wasn’t a huge fan at first, as it brought out all my weaknesses. Over time, I have learned to embrace challenges because they force me to find strength I would have otherwise never knew I had.
Developing a mindset capable of helping me overcome challenges in CrossFit has also helped me have the right mindset to overcome challenges that occur in every day life. I love hearing stories from our members about how CrossFit has made such a significant positive impact on their lives physically, mentally, and even spiritually in some cases. Helping our members live their best lives, that’s what it’s all about.

I was born and raised here in Omaha, NE. I am married to an amazing, unique, one of a kind man, Kyle Jenkins, and we have two wonderful boys, Landon and Layton.
My health and fitness journey started in 2003. I spent 8 years in the world of competitive figure competitions. Through personal trials and experiences, as well as education, I expanded my knowledge of how nutrition plays a huge role in almost any area of life. I spent 5 years in the supplement industry where I was able to help hundreds of men and women achieve fat-loss/muscle gain goals through nutrition. In 2015, I put the figure competitions behind me and entered into the world of CrossFit. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made!
Nutrition and fitness are two of my passions! My goal is to serve and help others through nutrition coaching. To educate, encourage, and motivate anyone looking to push themselves to find their true potential. I believe by combining a solid nutrition base with CrossFit, you can become unstoppable.
